G IS FOR

GIANT!

G is for GIANT.

Constance O is quite small so most dolls look like giants to her but Elfine and Faith especially !

Elfine and Faith think they are quite small !

 

Especially when the new girl Rowan appears, now they think she is a Giant!

But what’s this?

A GIANT GIRL riding a GIANT GOAT whose eating the GERANIUMS while holding the letter G !

No wonder Constance O thinks she’s tiny!

Feeling tired Constance O goes off for a nap.

 

Which leaves GIANT GIRL, Rowan riding Billy Bob the GIANT GOAT whose enjoying munching on the GERANIUMS while holding the letter G with his ear!

If I’d not seen it here I’d have never believed it!

ROWAN

Today I received my Zwergnase junior limited edition Roelie. She is a bigger doll in their junior range being 55cm to the usual 50cm.

The Zwergnase dolls have unique faces and Roelie’s face is a new sculpt.

I’m not one for the cross/angry faces but I don’t mind the ones that look curious or questioning.

So I am pleased that when she arrived I liked her! lol I was worried she might look too cross but I think she does have a questioning face.

I took her out into the garden for a quick photo shoot made even quicker by the fact my camera battery needed recharging !

I took Violet out to meet her , Violet is the standard sized Zwergnase at 50cm

I decided to call the new girl Rowan and she’ll be a big sister to the others.

 

The late afternoon/early evening sun bathed the girls.

I will take some photos of Rowan and some of the others at the weekend, when I have more time and a recharged battery!.

FALLING ASLEEP AMONGST THE  FLOWERS.

 

It’s a specially nice

not to think twice

and just go with the flow

amongst flowers don’t you know.

 

and for falling asleep

While buried deep in flowers so pink

they make you blink!.

E IS FOR

ELEPHANTS

Elephants are lovely

Elephants are true

Please don’t sit on Elephants

They don’t sit on you !

Elephants love family

Just like you and me

So please protect these Elephants

and save their Ivory!

Tutu wants to sit
Ron will be his seat
His family no longer with us
Vanished in a beat

So if you see injustice
against these gentle beasts
Please add you anger
and maybe they’ll retreat !

The poachers we must win against
and stop this evil trade
so these wonderful animals
Can amble through the glades

Let man not destroy their families
for just like you and I
There is nothing in this world so sad
as to see an Elephant cry.

These are my two photos for the Doll and Bear photo challenge for E.

I just love elephants, always have ever since I was a child. I cannot believe how evil man as become towards them, destroying them for their tusks! To put into potions used my quacks! and bought by people who should know better!

How the destruction of these wonderful, gentle family creatures can still be happening saddens me and breaks my heart.  So my photos have rhymes to them.

But Ron enjoyed playing with Tutu in the garden , so that I could take the photos for this week.

He wants to sit On Ron’s lap and have a proper cuddle!

Luckily Tutu is just a baby!

Thank goodness he’s settled down with just his front legs on Ron, so not too heavy for the poor boy!

I think we’ll leave them their with Ron singing nursery rhymes to Tutu and Tutu’s eyes starting to flutter! I can see you lads asleep in the grass pretty soon!

KRUSING WITH THE BOYS

Today I decided to take some photos of the different boy dolls I own. I started with my Kathe Kruse dolls.

First up was Constantin.

He is the biggest of my boy dolls and I think he is from the mid 90’s.

I love his total look.

Next in size is this lad.

I call him Rupert and I love his red cord knickerbockers and plaid shirt.

He’s got quite a solemn / worried look about him. He is the youngest of the boys, I think he’s a 2000 doll.

Here is another whose name I have forgotten.

He is an 80’/ 90’s doll and came in this outfit but also with his original outfit with is navy and white.

I love his baby curls

Last of the Kruse boys is this little chap, who is from the 60’s and I call Timmy.

He came along with his sister and although he’s been here a year I have yet to wash his clothes! So now I have seen how dirty they are , they’ll be in the wash today!

He has a sweet baby face.

Here they are standing together but Curly top keeps trying to fall over ! naughty lad!

A nice mix of ages I think , would quite like an older boy at some stage but no rush, he’s got to be the right one.

Tomorrow more of the other boy dolls will be taking part.
